A Surprise Shower!
The day after the team arrived they decided to throw us a surprise baby shower (courtesy of our moms). We had such a good time socializing, we almost forgot we weren't in America. We thought that this was one thing we wouldn't be able to have since we moved to another country, but we were surprised and blessed. The items we received are the first evidence in our home that a baby is actually coming. When we looked at all the "baby stuff," we were reminded that this is really happening- we're really going to have a baby!It was an interesting experience for our national partners who had never heard of such a thing. We played a game, had some snacks and opened presents! Thanks everyone for such special memories!
PRESENTS! They weren't wrapped when they arrived with the team on the plane. The guys did an excellent job wrapping all the gifts while the women were out shopping.
Don't know why Wilbur is making that face. This may not be the best pic to show my slowly expanding belly, but the baby really is in there.
